J & M Autobody in Milwaukie
Ore., has a lifetime customer in
Jim Harrison. Harrison recently
took first place in a Volvo Concourse
show in Olympia, Wash., where judges
and other attendees couldn't believe
his 2000 Volvo V70R wagon had about
$19,000 in repairs. Harrison said
he took his vehicle - one of only
160 made, he says - to J & M
on the recommendation of his insurance
agent after a young driver plowed
into the car doing more than 60
mph. He made frequent visits to
the shop to take pictures of the
repair process over the next three
months, and has given J&M a
slide show showing the car before,
during, and after the repairs.
"Nobody believed that the
car had been severely damaged because
it was really put together very,
very well," Harrison said.
"It was a very good experience."
